Focus Points

Image
What are Focus Points? Focus points are one of your most valuable resources in Albion Online. They are used in two major areas: 1)  crafting and refining , and 2)  farming . 1. Crafting and Refining When  crafting  or  refining,  spending  Focus Points  allows you to increase the  return rate of materials , as well as increasing your chances of crafting  higher-quality items . For instance, when refining stone in Fort Sterling, you get a 15% return rate of materials. But if you enable Focus, you get a 44% return rate! That almost triples the resources you are getting back from crafting. Remember, the more  specialization  you have in crafting an item, the less Focus it costs to craft it! This means higher-level crafters can get far higher resource returns daily. 2. Farming In farming, Focus can be used to either  nurture animals  (which results in a  higher offspring yield percentage ) or  water crops...

Your First Day in Albion

Image
Coming Ashore You awaken on a beach, vague memories of a mighty storm and a shipwreck nestled within your thoughts. You are not where you intended to be! First, get used to moving around the screen using the mouse, then look at your  quest log  when the tooltip box pops up. The Wounded Crafter will give you a series of tasks to complete, and you should do them in the given order once you accept the quest. Firstly, let's climb up that lighthouse and get a better view of our surroundings. Stepping into the circles will allow you to see your surroundings and the relevant areas you need to know about. At the end of the walkway is a small  chest , so don't miss it - you can open it by clicking on it to see if there...

Week 1 in Albion

Image
Crafting in Albion is a fantastic part of the game: you get to equip what you make, and by gathering your own materials to craft with you can offset the requirement for Silver that it would otherwise require. So, let us examine how you begin on your path. Once you have completed the first part of the tutorial, you will unlock the Novice Adventurer Mastery group in the Destiny Board, which will, in turn, unlock the Trainee Craftsman Mastery group (to the right of the Novice Adventurer node). This node will allow you to craft Novice items at four different types of crafting stations:  Mage's Tower, Warrior's Forge, Hunter's Lodge  and  Toolmaker . It is a good idea at this point to gather materials in the starter town and craft 3-4 duplicate ...
